"L'appetito vien creando" - dimostrazione di food art alla Pecora Nera - Food art at La Pecora Nera shop

È stata proprio una bella giornata quella di sabato scorso!

Un’amica, che sa che amo fare creazioni spiritose con il cibo per mio figlio, mi ha detto che in un negozio in città proprio sabato 28 ci sarebbe stato uno swap party per bambini e che avrei potuto chiedere di inserirmi nell’evento per fare una dimostrazione di food art.

Così abbiamo chiesto e ci hanno detto di sì.

La Pecora Nera

Il negozio si chiama “La Pecora Nera” ed è un bellissimo equosolidale nel centro della città di Piacenza con tanto cibo (tè, caffè, cioccolato. Miele, biscotti, riso e tantissime altre cose ... la mia preferita è la salsa al curry … deliziosa!),piatti, tazze, ciotole, tovaglie, vestiti, collane, bracciali, orecchini, braccialetti e molto altro ancora. Hanno anche delle bellissime bomboniere per matrimoni, battesimi ed altre occasioni.

Sono stati così gentili da lasciarmi libero il grande tavolo all’entrata in modo che potessi disporre I miei piatti e che avessi spazio per muovermi nella preparazione del cibo.

Come dicevo quel giorno hanno avuto lo swap party in cui in pratica I bambini potevano portare cose che non usano più per scambiarle con alter cose di altri bambini (giocattoli, libri, vestiti, ecc.). Inoltre tutte le cose che non sono state scambiate, ma che sono rimaste verranno date in beneficenza.

Molte mamme sono venute con I loro bambini e si sono fermate a vedere che cosa stessi facendo. È stato veramente bello perché per me è stata la prima volta in cui ho mostrato quello che faccio fuori dalle mura di casa, a persone che non siano mio figlio o amici.

Ho mostrato alcune tecniche facile di base e ho composto qualche piatto. Ho anche fatto una cornice di cioccolato, che ultimamente è diventata una delle cose che faccio più volentieri.

Ho anche esposto sul tavolo la cornice per foto che ho fatto per mio figlio (dato che ha deciso di non mangiarla perché gli piace troppo) e una cornice che ho fatto per la Pecora Nera con i prodotti che vendono (cioccolato e mix di frutta secca … troppo buoni).


















Sono così contenta che l’abbiano messa in vetrina!

Tutte le persone che sono venute hanno mostrato interesse per quello che stavo facendo e gli sono piaciuti I miei piatti.

 Ero entusiasta ed è stata per me davvero una bella esperienza che mi fa venire voglia di andare avanti e cercare di fare piatti sempre più belli.

Anche mio figlio era contento per me e mi ha detto che è stato bello che io abbia ricevuto così tanti complimenti … che carino!

Voglio ringraziare davvero tutte le persone della PecoraNera per la calorosa ospitalità e per l’opportunità che mi hanno dato.

E voglio anche ringraziare gli amici per il supporto.

Last Saturday was a great day.

A friend of mine that knows I like creating funny food for my kid told me that in a shop in my town on Sunday 28^th there would be a swap party for kids and that maybe I could ask to join and make a sort of food art show.

So we asked and the owners of the shop said it was ok.

The shop is called “La Pecora Nera” (The Black Sheep) and it’s an amazing fair-trade store in the city centre with loads of food (tea, coffee, chocolate, honey, biscuits, rice and many other stuffs…my favourite is the curry sauce… oh my! Delicious!!!), plates, mugs, bowls, clothes, outfits, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and so on. They also have super cute favors for weddings , baptisms and other occasions.

They were so nice to leave the big table at the entrance free for me so that I could display all the stuffs I made and I had space enough to arrange the food creations.

That very day they had this swap party for kids, so basically kids could bring stuffs they don’t use anymore (toys, books, clothes…) and exchange them with other kids. Also, all the things that are left from the party will be given to charity.

Many mums came with their kids and stopped by to see what I was doing. It really was great because it was my first time to show what I do outside my house, to people different from my kid or a few friends.

I showed some very easy and basic techniques and I arranged some food. I also made a chocolate picture frame, that lately have become one of my favorite thing to make.

Here are some pictures of what I  did.

Tomatoes ladybugs, radish mushrooms, quail egg chicks, ham fish, ham flower, sausage octopus fruit magic wand, pizza crown, black sheep noodles, nest spaghetti with little birds, salmon and rice sakura flower, mimosa rice with asparagus, rice Baymax from Big Hero 6, rice Lego face (not so cute, but I’ll make a better one next time), and the Alice in Wonderland themed chocolate photo frame (yes, the bear doesn’t really fit in the story, but I like it!).

I also displayed the photo frame I made for the kid (as he decided he’s not going to eat it ‘cause he likes it too much) and a photo frame I made for the Pecora Nera shop with the products they sell (chocolate and dried fruit mix…so good).

 I’m so happy they displayed it in the shop window!

All the people that came have shown interest in what I was doing and really liked my dishes. I was very thrilled and it was really an awesome experience for me that makes me want to go on trying my best to make more and more cute dishes.

My kid also was very happy for me and said it was great I received so many compliments … so cute.

I really want to thank all the Pecora Nera people for the warm hospitality and the great opportunity they gave me.

And also I really want to thank my friends for the support.
