Caccia all'uovo - An eggcellent Easter

Quelle appena passate sono state due settimane di preparativi per Pasqua.

Mio figlio voleva decorare la casa dei nonni e quindi nei ritagli di tempo abbiamo preparato le decorazioni: uova dipinte e vestite con i vestitini stampabili da Mr Printables, uova di polistirolo decorate con carta da decorazioni in un patchwork colorato, festoni stampati da Amanda’s PartiesTO GO e modificati con le scritte in italiano, decorazioni per la tavola sempre scaricati da Amanda’s Parties TO GO, giochi a tema per intrattenere la bestia, scaricati da Peonies and Poppyseeds e Mr Printables, cestini di pasqua, uno per i nonni e uno per la zia.

Oggi, dopo aver decorato la casa, abbiamo preparato degli antipasti a tema che per fortuna sono piaciuti a tutti (e sono ancora tutti vivi).

 

 

 

 

Dopo pranzo abbiamo aperto le uova di cioccolato (ovviamente la bestia viziata ne aveva ben 4): che emozione per le uova delle Hot-Wheels e di Star Wars!

 

Ma non è finita! A sorpresa… la caccia alle uova!!! Qui in Italia di solito non si fa, ma noi l’abbiamo fatta lo stesso.

Il risultato? Tanti ovetti di plastica pieni di cioccolato e di Minifigures Lego.

 

La bestia si è divertita tanto e abbiamo passato una Pasqua un po’ diversa e più colorata del solito!

In the last two weeks we’ve been busy with Easter decorations.

 

 

 

 

The kid wanted to decorate grandparents’ house, so in the free time we prepared the decorations: painted eggs dressed up with Mr Printables’ Easter printables, decoring sheets patchwork  Styrofoam eggs, pennant banners from Amanda’sParties TO GO modified with Italian words, table decorations also from Amanda’sParties TO GO, easter games to keep my little beast busy downloaded from Peonies and Poppieseeds and Mr Printables, and Easter baskets, one for grandparents, one for auntie.

This morning, house decorated, we prepared some spring/Easter themed appetizers: everybody liked them (and they’re all still alive!).

 

After lunch we opened the chocolate eggs, obviously, the little spoiled beasts had 4 eggs: such an emotion to open the Hot-Wheels and the Star War eggs!

But there’s something more! Ta-daaaa… surprise: egg hunt!!! Here in Italy the egg hunt isn’t a tradition, but we did it anyway.

The result? Many plastic eggs with chocolates and Lego Minifigures toys inside.

 

The little beast had much fun and we all passed a different and more colorful Easter!

pupazzo a sorpresa - a snowman upside down!

A pochi giorni dall’inizio della primavera, ieri qui da noi è nevicato quasi tutto il giorno.

Era dall’inizio dell’inverno che la bestia (il mio amato piccino) mi chiedeva di fare un pupazzo di neve insieme, così stasera, a sorpresa, quando sono tornata dal lavoro, ci siamo divertiti un po’ con la neve. Niente di nuovo, ma divertimento garantito. Per non essere troppo banali, abbiamo fatto un pupazzo di neve un po’ speciale: a testa in giù… sempre guardare le cose da un altro punto di vista!  

E poi, battaglia a pallate di neve!

Si è divertito e stancato così tanto che si è addormentato a tavola mentre cenava… doppio successo! Ehehe (risata malefica in sottofondo)

Just a few days from the beginning of spring, yesterday the snow fell here.

The beast (my lovely kid) has been asking me to make a snowman together since the beginning of the winter, so today I surprised him and, when I came back from work, we had fun with the snow.

Snow… nothing new so far, but it’s 100% fun guaranteed.  Trying  to be not  too ordinary, we’ve made a  special snowman: upside down… it’s good to look at things from a different perspective!

And then, snowball fight!

He had great fun and was so tired that he fell asleep while having dinner… double goal! eheheh (evil laugh sounds)

Mimosa al rosmarino - fast card for Women's day

Partiamo subito con un biglietto rapido fatto per l’8 marzo,  la festa delle donna.

La “bestia” ha deciso di fare sia un biglietto per la nonna, che uno per la zia.

È velocissimo, facilissimo, economico e lui si è divertito molto a farlo.

Ed è stato molto apprezzato :)

 

Let’s start with a “fast card” made for the women’s day on 8^th March.

My little “beast” decided to make card both for granny and auntie.

It’s very fast, easy peasy, cheap and he had fun.

And the result was much appreciated :)

Servono:

-forbici

-cartoncino rosa

-pennarello verde

-tempera gialla e bianca

-1 rametto di rosmarino

-palloncino giallo

-pompetta per palloncini

-cannucce

 

You’ll need:

-scissors

-pink card

-green felt-tip pen

-yellow and white distemper

-a branch of rosemary

-a yellow balloon

-little air pump

-straws

Il rosmarino sarà il vostro pennello per i fiori di mimosa.

The rosemary will be your brush to paint the mimosa flower (in Italy this flower is the symbol of Women’s Day)

Tagliate il cartoncino della dimensione che preferite. Disegnate lo stelo della mimosa con il pennarello verde. Poi intingete il rosmarino nella tempera (giallo + bianco) e schiacciate la punta del rosmarino sul foglio in modo da formare dei cerchietti disordinati gialli.

 

Cut the card of the size you need. Draw a flower stalk with the green felt-tip pen. Then dip the rosemary in the yellow+white distemper and press the tip of the rosemary on your card as to create some round and messy yellow circles.

Lasciate asciugare, aggiungete data e firma sul retro ed è fatto!

Leti t dry, add date and sign on the back and it’s done!

 

 

Aggiungete un palloncino giallo con la scritta auguri. Potete legarlo a dello spago o a due cannucce infilate una nell’altra.

Ed ecco l’ometto pronto per la consegna J

 

Add a yellow balloon with “best wishes” written on it. You can tie it to a string or to a couple of straws.

And here’s the little man ready for the delivery J
